GitHub
The Switch Abstraction Interface defines the API to provide a vendor-independent way of controlling forwarding elements, such as a switching ASIC, an NPU or a software switch in a uniform manner.
Software
SAI is designed to build a standardized abstract API interface that is independent of switch ASICs, making software development easier and more flexible for switch OS, such as SONiC.
Switch Abstraction Interface (SAI)
